Mary Quite Contrary has been teaching the art of tease for nine years.
Through private lessons, her wildly popular BURLESQUERCIZE classes, and eight Striptease Academies in the Quad Cities. She’s helped countless students and performers find their confidence, and shimmy the nights away.
Now, to celebrate her ninth year of teaching burlesque within and beyond our community, Mary is producing a very special reunion show! Having taught the vast majority of performers in the Quad Cities alongside some truly incredible people Mary is honoring her legacy by inviting the burlesque illuminati back to the stage for an event unlike anything you’ve seen before.
For one night only, performers from across the QC and across all nine years of the Striptease Academy will share the historic Spotlight Theatre stage for a truly unforgettable spectacular!

Dark Desires Burlesque is proud to bring you a fun night of hootin and hollering as they welcome in 2026!
This New Years Eve, step into a world where sultry daydreams blur into seductive nightmares. Dark Desires invites you to a decadent evening of burlesque, blending the whimsical and the wicked in a tantalizing celebration of contrasts.
Admission is $30 in advance, or $35 the day of the show. We also have special VIP tickets for $40.00. We strongly recommend reserving your tickets ahead of time to ensure your seat! Doors open at 8 pm and the show begins at 9:00.
